Jean Michel will illustrate how this flavoursome 16th century dessert has risen to cult status and created devoted followers both in France and the world over.
He will begin with a brief history of the macaron, followed by a talk of the necessary tools, recipes and cooking processes involved in making the perfect macaron.
You will see how all the components of a macaron are made, commencing with the filling (in this case a chocolate ganache), followed by the preparation of the meringue biscuits and finally how to assemble the components into a finished product - perfect enough to serve at your next dinner party or as a special gift.
There'll be macarons to taste and some hands on participation from the audience plus Baroque Macarons to purchase in the café.
This demonstration is the perfect introduction to Baroque's Macaron making Masterclasses, which will be launching soon.
